Ministerial Nominees: Plateau State APC Congratulates Former Governor Lalong
The Plateau State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated former Governor Simon Lalong on his nomination as minister-designate following the arrival of the second batch of ministerial nominees on Wednesday, bringing the total number of nominees before the Senate to 47.
Chairman of the APC Plateau chapter, Mr Rufus Bature, in a statement signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Sylvanus Namang, described Lalong’s nomination as “well deserved”.
The statement quoted the chairman as saying that Lalong’s nomination was a reward for hard work, determination, consistency, resilience and loyalty.
According to him, the choice is apt and a source of pride and joy to the APC family.
Bature appreciated President Bola Tinubu for making a wise choice, adding that Lalong would be an asset to the Federal Executive Council.
Screening of the new nominees, according to the Senate President, would commence on Friday while they were given Thursday to perfect their documentations ahead of the exercise.
