Luka Modric made history in Croatia’s narrow 1-0 win over Cyprus in Group H of European qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.
To celebrate the achievement, the Croatian football federation created a tribute video in which various Croatian footballing legends praised the midfielder.
Modric was overcome by emotion as he struggled to fight back the tears. He was also presented with a cake with the number ‘135‘.
