The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji  Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has assured the new Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, of his support towards ensuring that she achieved her mandate of combating crimes and criminality.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari gave the assurance when he received the new police boss in his palace.

The Monarch stressed that as the first female police commissioner in Kwara State, he promised her of his unflinching support and prayers at all times.

The Emir added that “Try to work in full cooperation with your team in order to ensure that your mandates of securing lives and property in the state are achieved. In as much as you cooperate with your team, you need to also be careful as a law enforcement officer. May Almighty Allah make your tenure a success and guide your affairs,” he stated.

Alhai Sulu Gambari,  however,  commended the Police Public Relations Officer,  State Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, for his outstanding contributions to the fight against crimes in the state adding that he had been following his activities with keen interest and he is always proud of his performances.

In her remarks, CP Adelesi appealed to the Emir to take her like his daughter by giving her the necessary support and prayers that will enable her to succeed just like her predecessors who later rose to attain the peak of her Police career.

She assured me that she would discharge her police duties without fear or favour and with the fear of God and make Kwara State more peaceful and crime-free better than she met it as a state of peace and harmony.
