The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1, has conducted a series of precision air strikes in support of ground troops, targeting terrorists behind recent attacks in Niger State.

In a statement, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, stated that “following credible intelligence, with inter-service and inter-agency cooperation, the NAF identified terrorist activities involving attacks and cattle rustling in Kakihun and Kumbashi communities.”

He noted that the swift deployment of air assets enabled the Air Component to execute multiple waves of precision strikes, which neutralised scores of terrorists, destroyed their logistics, and disrupted regrouping efforts.

Air Commodore Ejodame added that “the operation demonstrated NAF’s professionalism, rapid response capability, and strong coordination with ground forces and other agencies.”

The Nigerian Air Force reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting the lives and property of all Nigerians and ensuring lasting peace across the country.
