Nasarawa Govt to demolish over 200 properties

The Managing Director Nasarawa State Urban Development Board, Engr. Mohammed Wada discloses this to a journalist during a press conference in Lafia the state capital.

He said that decision to demolish the property was followed by the failure of owners of the buildings to demolish them after serving them notice on three different occasions.

“Some of the structures were erected on waterways while others were built without registration by the appropriate authorities”, He noted

The Managing Director pointed out that the board was collaborating with relevant agencies to enforce laws on urban planning and development control in the state.

He further calls on the resident to do the needful, adding that, approvals are processed within two weeks, and that the agency has improved its service delivery to the public in terms of proper documentation and scrutiny.

He said that Nasarawa Urban Development Board is now online, one can be registered and revalidate approvals from anywhere around the world.
