Nasarawa State Assembly: 26 Year-old Legislator Vows to Promote Youth-Friendly Bills

The 26-year old legislator and member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, representing Doma North constituency, Hon. Muhammad Oyanki, has promised to initiate youth-friendly bills that would have a direct bearing on youths and promote good governance.
Oyanki (PDP Doma North) stated this during an event organized by Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth and Advancement (YIAGA) Africa, a frontline non-profit organization promoting participatory democracy, human rights and civic participation.
He commended the organizers of the event for young legislators, noting that it would go a long way in enhancing their skills thereby promoting democracy in the country.

The event centered on Elections, Legislation Engagement, Governance, and Development.

The lawmaker promised to initiate private member bills that will have a direct impact on the lives of youths in his constituency, the State, and the country at large.
Hon. Oyanki said that the knowledge gained will be put to use to promote good governance as well as ensure effective legislation in State Houses of Assembly.
He used the medium to assure the people of Doma North constituency of quality representation at the State Legislature.
The lawmaker solicited support from all and sundry to enable him to succeed.
