The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has donated the sum of N200million to the families of the victims of the deadly drone strike in Kaduna state, Northwest Nigeria.

This was done on behalf of the forum by the chairman who also doubles as the Governor of Kwara State, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq during his condolence visit to Kaduna State.

While meeting with the State Governor Uba Sani, Abdulrazaq conveyed the condolences of the forum to the State Government, the bereaved families as well as the good people of the State.

AbdulRazaq expressed his confidence in the investigations into the unfortunate incident noting that it will help in curbing such unintended disaster in the future.

He, however, commended Governor Sani, the army authorities and Kaduna community leaders saying “I commend Governor Uba Sani, the army authorities, and Kaduna community leaders for the statesmanship and maturity with which they have handled the unintended development.”

It would be recalled that on Sunday, 3rd December, 2023, a drone strike was carried out by the Nigerian Armed Forces on Tudun Biri, in Igabi local government area of Kaduna State targeting what they thought was a group of bandits but the army mistakenly hit a village, killing over 100 civilians.
