Nigeria Engages French Officials on Agriculture, Sports and Education

Nigerian Governors under the leadership of the Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, (NGF) Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State have engaged in dialogues with French officials focussing on common priorities of Nigeria and France.
The governor’s are on the trip on the invitation of the French Minister for European and International Affairs, Mr. Jean-Noel Barrot.
In a statement personally signed by Governor AbdulRazaq, said “My brother-Governors and I have in the last few days engaged in dialogues with French officials focusing on common priorities of Nigeria and France.”
According to him, organised by Business France and SEMMARIS, the engagements focused on economic development, agriculture, cultural industries, support for youth, education, and sports.
The Chairman of the NGF said the unique platforms had brought together different companies and startups to strengthen partnerships between Nigerian and French companies.
The engagements he said would also serve to strengthen existing conversations around the many projects in Kwara State, especially the industrial hub, the agro processing zone, among others.
AbdulRazaq explained further that the conversations are a follow-up to President Bola Tinubu’s visit to France during which Mr. President rallied international support for national economic development.
“A major win for Kwara was the French Treasury funding the feasibility study for the upgrade of the 22,000 Lata grazing reserve as a grant,” he declared.
The Three Day engagement which took place in France was held between 9th and 11th of April.
