The Federal Government of Nigeria has named the Idu railway complex and rail station as well as the Light Rail Station of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) after the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed.
The announcement was made via the federal government’s official Twitter handle and the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi on Tuesday

Amina Mohammed was Nigeria’s former Minister of Environment before her appointment at the UN.
She is now the first Nigerian woman to have a railway station named after her.
It would be recalled that last year, President Muhammadu Buhari had named some stations along the Lagos-Ibadan and the Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri corridors after some prominent Nigerians.
