The National Association Of Nigerian Students In Diaspora has elected new executives promising to be good ambassadors for Nigeria.
The new President of the association Comrade Juwon Fayomi, made the promise at the Inauguration Ceremony And Public Lecture 2025 of the association.
He said that the over 2.5 million Nigeria students in Diaspora would continue to contribute to the development of Nigeria.
“The development of the federal Republic of Nigeria is a collective responsibility”.
Comrade Fayomi promised more collaboration with NANS NIgeria towards the welfare of Nigerian students.
He pledged more developmental Initiatives during his tenure.
The Father of the Day for the occasion, Mr. Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu commended the members of the National Association of Nigerian Students In Diaspora for always making Nigeria proud
He advised them not to relent in contributing their own quota to laundering the image of Nigeria in the various countries they find themselves in.
The traditional ruler however lamented the disrespect of Nigerian green passports at some airports.
” It shouldn’t be so” Mr. Asadu said.
Other speakers at the lecture commended the peaceful conduct of the diaspora students and urged them to keep it up.
The highpoint of the event was the simultaneous swearing in of the newly elected excos in various countries.
The theme of the annual lecture was ” NANSD – A Global Panacea For Reshaping The Image Of Nigeria Worldwide”.
