The Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Yusuf Yakub, has commended the National Security Adviser (NSA) Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for his “strategic and principled leadership” in navigating Nigeria’s security landscape.
The remarks were delivered on Friday at a ceremony in Abuja honouring the NSA on the occasion of his 65th birthday, a gathering which marked the meeting of senior government officials and members of the diplomatic community.
The Director-General Yakub, underscored the significance of Ribadu’s service across two critical institutions: first as the pioneering Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and now at the helm of the nation’s security architecture.
He noted that Ribadu’s tenure has been characterized by a consistent commitment to reform and national integrity.
“From your foundational work in establishing the EFCC to your current strategic direction of our national security apparatus, your career has been defined by courage and an unwavering dedication to the Nigerian state,” stated Yakub.
“Your approach offers a commendable model of public service.”
Yakub further emphasised the broader impact of this leadership, noting that Ribadu’s legacy serves as a catalyst for professional excellence within institutions like the NTAC and for the wider cadre of Nigeria’s public servants and volunteers.

The event served as a forum for engagement between high-level Nigerian policymakers and the international community, reflecting the collaborative nature of contemporary security challenges.
Attendees included a broad representation from the diplomatic corps, civil society, and the federal government.
In his concluding remarks, the Director-General of NTAC extended formal wishes for the NSA’s continued service, stating,
“The NTAC joins in wishing you continued wisdom and strength as you guide the nation’s security policies.”
The public recognition from a key agency head at an event with significant international presence highlights the current administration’s focus on security governance and institutional reinforcement.
The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) is a soft-power diplomatic instrument of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, responsible for sharing skilled manpower with other African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) countries.
