A former Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission in Anambra State, Sam Nwosu has officially declared his intention to run for the Anambra South senatorial seat.

Running under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Nwosu made his declaration at his home in Nnewi with a promise of a new dimension of representation for the district.

Nwosu emphasised his commitment to serving the people selflessly.

“I don’t serve for what I will gain – my service is for what my people will benefit,” he stated.

Confident in his intellectual, moral, and physical capacity to succeed the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Nwosu believes he can contribute significantly to the development of Anambra South and the state as a whole.

Addressing concerns about PDP’s standing in the region, Nwosu highlighted his personal appeal and capabilities as factors that would ensure victory for the party.

He also downplayed APGA’s influence, citing their loss of all three senatorial seats in Anambra during the 2023 general election as proof that the tides are shifting.

In his quest for a unique model of representation, Nwosu stressed that he would not merely replicate the late Senator Ubah’s approach, instead, he plans to design a framework that gives Anambra South a strong voice and control over their affairs.
