The National Youth Service NYSC Skill Acquisition for the Batch A stream 1 Camp training closed on Friday and Corps Members were advised to ensure they register with their trainers so as to continue post-camp training with them at their various places of primary assignment. This will enable them perfect in their chosen skill areas, thus making them professionals in their various skills.
The state coordinator NYSC Ebonyi State, South- East Nigeria, Bamai Mercy gave the advice at the closing ceremony of the programme.
Bamai enjoined them to use the information gathered during the lecture to launch themselves into the world of business, thereby becoming entrepreneurs and employers of labour rather than job seekers among others .
The state coordinator and her team inspected the products exhibited by the corps members and commended them for their ingenuity and their ability to learn fast.
She further informed the corps members of the efforts of the NYSC in providing funding options for loans or grants for the establishment of their businesses.
The highlight of the ceremony was the award of cash and material prizes to the winners of the Competition and the cutting of the Unity cake; baked and presented by the food processing class.
