NYSC Warns Corps Members Against Improper Dressing

Corps members have been warned against improper dressings and defacing their National Youth Service Corps, NYSC uniforms.

NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed gave the warning on Saturday while addressing Corps members and camp officials at NYSC Imo and Enugu State Orientation Camps, in South East Nigeria.

He said that “anyone caught violating the Scheme’s dress code or breaking the NYSC rules would be sanctioned.”

Ahmed advised them to be disciplined in their conduct, embrace dignity of labour, adhere strictly to instructions and avoid all forms of negative youthful exhuberances.

Avoid unnecessary travelling. Prepare towards becoming self-dependent and use the opportunities of the service year to improve on yourselves,” the DG said.

NYSC lmo State Coordinator, Mrs Rachel Idaewor told the DG that the 820 male and 851 female Corps members have acclimatised and integrated to camp activities.

Similarly, her Enugu State counterpart, Barrister Gladys Adama stated that the Orientation Course content including lectures, SAED, socials drills, games and sports and other camp activities have been going on seamlessly.

“A total number of 1,852 Corps Members, comprising 847 males and 1,005 females have actively been participating in the Orientation programme,” Adama said.
