Nze na Ọzọ Society supports Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Others

The Nze na Ọzọ society of Ayom and Okpala clan of Awka, in Anambra state, South-east Nigeria, has shown support for the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and the Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, who is also a cabinet chief.
(The Nze na Ọzọ is the highest and most important spiritual religious and social grouping in the Igbo society of South-east Nigeria).

 

 

The society expressed their support recently while playing host to the Labour Party’s Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh.

Senator Umeh, in his speech, intimated the audience on the present political events in the country, emphasizing the need for Anambra people to massively vote for the Labour Party in the 2023 General Election to ensure victory for the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and other candidates of the party.

The revered chiefs during their annual gathering in Awka assured Senator Victor Umeh of their support of his senatorial election and the presidential aspiration of Mr. Peter Obi.
“The Labour Party has impacted significantly in promoting the unity of the country by fielding Mr. Peter Obi as the presidential candidate.
“Electing Mr. Peter Obi as President will broaden the peace, unity and cohesion in Nigeria,” they said.
They prayed for victory and divine protection for the duo, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi and the Party’s Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, as they go about their campaigns.
