Ondo State Host Stakeholders For International Agric Show

The second edition of the Ondo State International Agric Show and Food Fair, (OSIAFFA) attracted many people as Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association, (OSACA) gathered stakeholders in the agric sector to share ideas .

The event was declared open by Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who was represented by commissioner for Agric, Mr Olayato Aribo applauded OSACA for keying into the initiative to revamp agricultural sector in the state.

Governor Akeredolu disclosed that his administration had distributed over three million cocoa seedlings to maintain the state position as top producer in the country.

The minister of Agriculture, Dr Mohammed Abubakar represented by the Ondo state coordinator, Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Mr Tony Otuonyi said construction of dams for irrigation and establishment of research Institutions were part of efforts to improve agriculture.

One of the speakers and the Ogun state commissioner for Agriculture , Dr Samson Odedina represented by the senior special adviser to the Ondo state governor on Agriculture , Pastor Akin Olotu harped on engaging experts in the agric sector.

Another speaker who doubles as a farmer and a medical practitioner Dr Funmi Williams-Daudu appreciated Ondo state government for allocating farmlands to women and youths.
