Osun Governor urges Muslims to sustain Ramadan gains

The Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has urged Muslims to amplify the significance and sustain the lessons of Ramadan, as they join other faithful across the world to mark the 1442 AH Eid al-Fitr.

Governor Oyetola said this in his Sallah Message to congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, wishing them a blessed and peaceful celebration.

While praying Allah to accept all their acts of worship and supplications during the glorious month, the Governor urged the faithful to reach out to the less privileged in the society, to make them share in the happiness that come with the festival.

Governor Oyetola said; “The occasion of Eid al-Fitr provides a great opportunity for families and friends to come together, pray, share meals and gifts. I urge us all to engage in all of these cheerfully and in accordance with Covid-19 protocols. 

“And as we do these, we must not forget the significance and lessons of Ramadan. Let’s continue to uphold the virtues of the Holy month”.

He implored Muslims and non-Muslims to take advantage of the celebration to offer special prayers for the peace, progress and development of Osun State and country at large.
