The Oyo State House of Assembly has removed the Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan, from office.
They decided after the lawmakers presented and considered the recommendation of the seven-man panel set up by the Chief Judge, Munta Abimbola, to investigate the Deputy Governor over allegations of gross misconduct.

The removal, according to the House, takes immediate effect.
According to the committee report presented during Monday’s plenary, the Deputy Governor was found guilty of all the allegations against him by the seven-man panel.
