Muslims in Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria have joined others across the World to commemorate this year’s Eid Al-Adha festival.
As it is customary, the Agodi praying ground was filled to capacity with Muslim faithful for the special Eid prayers with other side attractions adding glamour to the festival.
After the prayers, the chief Imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Agbotomokekere, slaughtered the ram.
Also the Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan, after the prayers, performed a symbolic ram slaughtering, at his Jericho residence, on behalf of the state government.
The Deputy Governor led a delegation of top government officials who are Muslims to visit to Governor Seyi Makinde in his Ikolaba residence to felicitate him and offer prayers for the governor and the state.
