The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has re-elected Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi as the chairman of the ruling party.
Pastor Ojelabi was re-elected alongside twenty-five other executive members during the State party congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on a consensus decision.
In his acceptance speech, Pastor Ojelabi expressed gratitude to the party leadership for their confidence and assured them he would work tirelessly to preserve the peace and unity of the party.
He promised that the executive team would diligently uphold discipline within the party and bolster its influence in Lagos politics while collaborating with the national leadership to pursue the APC’s goals.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in his remarks at he event noted that the peaceful conduct of the state Congress proved that Lagos’s party structure is unmatched in the country, emphasising that members have shown that the party is supreme.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also appreciated President Bola Tinubu and the Governor’s Advisory Council, led by Prince Tajudeen Olusi, for their valuable advice and counsel, which contributed to a peaceful congress.
