Palliative: Kwara State Receives New Grains from Nigerian Government

The Kwara State Government in North Central Nigeria has confirmed that it has received 12,058 bags of grains of maize, millet, and sorghum from the Federal Government.

The breakdown of the 12,058 are: 7,042 of 50kg bags of maize; 2,916 of 50kg bags of millet; and 2,100 of 50kg bags of sorghum (which are still being received as at Wednesday).

The state government also announced the receipt of 8,700 of 25kg bags of rice.

This is contained in a statement by the state Commissioner for Communications, Mrs. Bola Olukoju.

Distribution Begins Soon

According to the statement,  the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari will flag off the distribution of the grains in the state very soon — in manners that would follow the distribution template sent by the Federal Government.

The statement added that the state government has constantly supported the residents of Kwara State to cope with the inconveniences that trailed the removal of fuel subsidy.
