The Caretaker Chairman of People’s Democratic Party PDP in Ebonyi State, Mr Fred Udeogu has commended the good works of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on their creation of additional 1162 Polling units in the State
this brings the total number of Polling unit in the state to 2947.
Mr Udeogu made this commendation while reacting to the the recent expansion of Polling units by INEC in Abakaliki the State capital and on their plans to embark on continuous Voters Registration, CVR.
The Chairman said the expansion was a good development which came at the right time.
” I must tell you, INEC has done a very good job in the State. Creating additional 1162 PUs is away of bring PUs to the doorsteps of voters.many people show apathy during voting simply because of the distance they would trake to go and vote but with this, no Ebonyi man or woman would have any excuse to give,” Udeogu said.
He encouraged People of Ebonyi State to avail themselves starting from June 28, 2021 to be registered by INEC officials.
