The Sokoto State Gubernatorial Campaign Council of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) says that all arrangements are in place for the official flag-off of its gubernatorial campaigns.
Briefing Journalists in Sokoto, Director General of the Campaign Council, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman, said the party will commence its campaign on Wednesday, 28th December, 2023 at Dange- Shuni Local Government area of the State.
Alhaji Suleiman also affirmed that the party will hold a rancour free campaign and pledged to work in harmony with security agencies.
He said they will hunt down trouble makers and their sponsors and ensure they face the full wrath of the law.
Suleiman further said the party would do everything within their capacity to avoid mix up or clashes with any political party during the electioneering campaign in the state.
The Director General who was the former Minister of Transport gave the assurance that PDP would continue to remain in power for Malam Umar Saidu Ubandoma and Alhaji Sagir Attahiru Bafarawa to continue with the good works of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal in the state.
He re-emphasised the party’s commitment to adopt youths and women engagements to ensure inclusiveness in the government .
The Director General also decried the level of insecurity in some part of the state and another geopolitical zone of the country.
