According to a press release by the spokesperson of the command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the operatives arrested the hoodlums at Awka-Etiti, Idemili South Local Government Area (LGA) while on patrol with the local vigilante.

“The heavily armed gang were accosted while on a yet-to-be unravelled mission. The joint security team chased the hoodlums until the vehicle they were in ran into a ditch.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, who commended the efforts of the joint personnel, directed the Rapid Response Squad at Awkuzu to take over investigation of both cases.
