The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari is in a meeting Security Chiefs at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Those attending include; the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to Government, Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
Also in attendance are the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Farouk Yahaya, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Auwal Gambo, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao and other heads of security agencies.
It is expected that the meeting would review the current security situation across the country.
Recently, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed stated that security challenges confronting the country are being surmounted, assuring citizens that next year’s general election will be conducted under a condusive atmosphere.
