The new President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured the youths of a better Nigeria, describing his victory as belonging to all Nigerians, who are committed to a greater society.

Tinubu gave the assurance in a brief speech on Wednesday afternoon after receiving a Certificate of Return presented to him as well as the Vice-President elect, Kashim Shettima, by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

“It can not be a victory for one man or even one party, or even one party.

“To you the people, especially the youths, I will work day and night to the utmost best of my ability to make Nigeria better.

“…The battle has been hard for us, yet we won it.

“This document symbolizes our collective democratic attainment and even loftier aspirations.

“By taking this certificate I assume a second duty I shall never ignore.

“To you my supporters,  I ask to continue to have faith in the mission that we have articulated.

“To those who didn’t support me I askthat you not allow the disappointment of this moment to keep you from realizing the historic national progress we can make by working together,” he said.
