President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
The swearing in ceremony took place on Monday at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
Kekere-Ekun’s appointment follows her confirmation by the Nigerian Senate last week.
The newly sworn in Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudriat Kekere-Ekun now becomes the 23rd Chief Justice of the country and the second female justice to hold the position.
Kudirat Kekere-Ekun had been serving in acting CJN since August, following the retirement of the immediate past CJN, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
