The Adamawa State Government has finalised plans to welcome President Bola Tinubu for a one-day official visit on Monday, 16 February 2026, during which he will commission several major projects executed by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s administration.

The Adamawa State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, James Iliya, described the visit as a strong endorsement of the state’s development achievements under Governor Fintiri.

Speaking in Yola in an interview with newsmen, the Commissioner confirmed that the President’s visit will include the commissioning of several landmark infrastructure projects spanning education, healthcare, governance, and justice, highlighting the state’s commitment to improving living standards and strengthening public institutions.

“The President’s presence underscores the national recognition accorded to the infrastructure renewal and institutional reforms undertaken by the current administration,” Iliya stated.

He noted that the visit reflects the Federal Government’s acknowledgement of Adamawa’s commitment to improving citizens’ living standards through strategic investments across critical sectors.

Among the projects slated for commissioning are the newly constructed underpass at the former Bekaji Roundabout, the expanded Bank Road in Yola, and a model school in Yola Northrep, resenting 21 newly built model schools across the state.

“The President is also expected to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for a new NYSC permanent orientation camp in Malkohi, commission the ultra-modern High Court Complex, unveil the automated gate at Government House, and inaugurate the newly constructed Governor’s Office complex,” the Commissioner added.
