President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed profound relief that all 24 students abducted from Kebbi Comprehensive Girls’ School in Maga, Kebbi State, have now been safely accounted for.
Welcoming their safe release, the President, in a statement issued by his Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, applauded the security agents for their efforts in securing the freedom of all the victims taken by the terrorists.
The Nigerian leader also tasked security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue any remaining students still believed to be held captive.

He said; “I am relieved that all the 24 girls have been accounted for. Now, we must put, as a matter of urgency, more boots on the ground in the vulnerable areas to avert further incidents of kidnapping. My government will offer all the assistance needed to achieve this.”
Terrorists struck the school at dawn on 17 November and abducted the girls, moments after a military detachment had left the premises.
The Kebbi abduction sparked a series of other kidnappings in Eruku, Kwara State, and Papiri in Niger State.
All 38 victims abducted in Eruku were freed on Sunday, while on the same day, the Niger State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria reported that 50 of the missing students from the Catholic school in Niger had been safely located in their parents’ homes.
