Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu will build institutions that will create a foundation for sustainable development in the country.

The National Chairman of Nigeria’s governing party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Abdullahi Ganduje stated this when he was paid a courtesy visit from a group, the South West Agenda For Asiwaju (SWAGA) at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Senator Ganduje explained that the long-term benefits of President Tinubu’s performance in Lagos state when he was governor are still being enjoyed in the state today adding that the President intends to replicate the same performance in the country.

We believe Asiwaju is a man of institutions. He believes in developing institutions and by developing institutions that is why you have sustainability.

“Lagos you can say, there is a high degree of sustainability, and the high degree of sustainability is not because Tinubu has been the governor for over 20 years in Lagos. He was Governor for only 8 years, but of course, he developed institutions, and then he laid the foundation for sustainability for Lagos.

Lagos is a great state, not only in Nigeria but in Africa, so we want a replica, we want a mirror image of that kind of sustainability for Nigeria.

And we believe Asiwaju is equal to the task, he reformed our system. He will reform the system of governance, reform the institutions, reform the economy and all other social issues, that will take Nigeria to the next level” Ganduje said.

He urged the group to continue to spread the word about President Tinubu’s efforts.

The leader of the group, Senator Dayo Adeyeye congratulated the National Chairman and Secretary for their selection into the positions and pledged their support to the new leaders.

Constituency projects

Similarly another group, a Forum of Former House of Representatives Members also paid a courtesy call on the National Chairman of the APC.

Speaking to the former lawmakers, Senator Ganduje said it is important for them to sustain the work they are doing in their constituencies whether they are in power or not.

The APC National Chairman explained that it is only through constituency projects that voters in local communities will see the efforts of lawmakers and the party.

He promised the former lawmakers that they will be included in party activities and decision-making.

Other groups that paid a courtesy call on the APC National Chairman to congratulate him on his emergence as chairman were the Association of APC State Assembly Candidates 2023 elections and the Coalition of Support Groups for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
