Dr Essiet said the team also confirmed that 13 victims had so far been buried with support from the government, while the remaining burials have been scheduled for next Tuesday, with affected families receiving logistical assistance and flexibility in making burial arrangements.

She further revealed that the 29 deceased victims were between the ages of 23 and 76, reflecting the effect of the human toll of the attack on the community.

She stated that members of the local vigilante group also led the team through Gari Ya Waye, identified as the escape route allegedly used by the gunmen after the attack, while she said eyewitness reports and other details gathered from the visit would be compiled and submitted to the President.

Dr Essiet stressed that responsive and coordinated action remains critical to protecting lives, supporting bereaved families, and advancing efforts towards lasting peace in the affected community.
