A Real Estate Developer and Businessman, Alhaji Usman Danjuma has emerged as the Kwara State Zenith Labour Party, ZLP Consensus gubernatorial Candidate.
Alhaji Danjuma’s emergence was affirmed by the party’s delegates from across the s16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State North Central Nigeria on Wednesday during the Primary election of the party held at it’s Secretariat along New Yidi Road, Ilorin, the State capital.
Speaking to Journalists after the exercise, the State Chairman of the ZLP, Alhaji AbdulRahman Omotosho commended delegates for maintaining decorum through out the process, saying ZLP will win in the 2023 general elections.
Alhaji Omotosho urged members of the party to work assiduously, to rescue Kwara from the present political propaganda, adding that ZLP is fully ready to take charge of the state in 2023.
In his acceptance speech, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the party, Alhaji Usman Danjuma thanked Party stakeholders, delegates and stalwarts for the opportunity offered him to serve the state.
He explained that ”he would justify the confidence reposed in him by closely working in tandem with the Party’s philosophy and Policy, aimed at moving the state forward if elected into the governorship position.”
Alhaji Danjuma who believed that he is the right candidate in the Gubernatorial race in the state, implored electorates not to be deceived by a mere slogan as it was the case in 2019 rather, they should shine their eyes and vote for credible candidates who would be passionate about their plights .
He stressed that ZLP has come to take it’s rightful position in the state and a force to be reckoned with in the 2023 general polls.
