Nigeria’s music is rapidly gaining global recognition, with its superstar musicians consistently receiving both commercial success and critical acclaim in the international scene.

Nominations for the 2024 Brit Award include international sensations Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema. Burna Boy and Asake find themselves in the Best International Artist category, sharing the space with Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Sza, Olivia Rodrigo, and Lana Del Rey. Rema, on the other hand, secures a nomination for Best International Song with his chart-topping ‘Calm Down’. Also representing Africa in the category are Libianca from Cameroon and Tyla from South Africa with their acclaimed singles ‘People’ and ‘Water’, respectively.
