Residents Comply With Movement Restriction Directive In Kano State

Residents of Kano State North Western Nigeria have continued to comply with restriction on movements to enhance free, fair and credible Governoship and State Assembly election today Saturday.

The Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali had issued circular restricting human and vehicular movements beginning from 12: am Saturday to 6pm local time, expect for those on election duty, security operatives, ambulances among others.

The ever busy Kano -Maiduguri road which hosts vehicular movements from North, Western, Central, East Africa countries and many states within Nigeria is free of traffic.

Shops were also locked, streets were empty as teenagers played football on major roads in Farmcenter, Tarauni LGA, Kano state

However, scanty movement of people trekking to their voting centers could be seen across the town.

Shops are also closed for businesses in both remote and highbrow areas of the ancient commercial city.

Security operatives could be seen in strategic positions to ensure law and order are obeyed.
