The Independent National Electoral Commission officers have commenced the sorting and counting of votes for the Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections in various polling units across Enugu state.
The electorates are patiently waiting as the INEC team counts their votes in the election Observers described as “peaceful exercise.”
However the election recorded poor turnout of voters.
Most People were reluctant in coming out to exercise their franchise.
Some Enugu residents told Voice of Nigeria that the low turnout was caused by after effect of the last presidential election.
They however commended INEC in its conduct of the ongoing election, saying it improved on the election process.
