Sorting and counting of votes cast in the 2023 Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections have been concluded in some polling units across Aba, the commercial city of Abia state.
At the Abia State Polytechnic, which had 44 polling units, there was an attempt by some group of young men to snatch the ballot boxes; however, they were intercepted by angry residents and arrested by the security personnel on duty.
