With the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) now just weeks away, Nigeria’s Super Falcons have hit the training pitch with renewed intensity following a narrow 1–0 defeat in their first friendly against Cameroon.
The team returned to the grass to rectify tactical errors ahead of its final friendly fixture against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, scheduled to hold on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026.

The training session, held under the watchful eye of Head Coach Justine Madugu, focused on clinical finishing and defensive transition—two areas that proved costly in their previous outing.
Madugu has described the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon as a strong test for his side as they continue preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The team is expected to have one final light workout on Monday before taking on the Indomitable Lionesses, in what many are calling a litmus test for their WAFCON campaign in Morocco.
