Nigeria Super Eagles fans all over the world have taken to social media to express their feelings with many of them appreciating the outstanding performance of the Super Eagles, starting from the backline to the forefront of the team especially the man of the moment Paul Onuachi.
It was a lively start to the second 45 minutes after a goalless draw with series of chances missed in the first half of the game played in Port Novo on Saturday.
Nigeria started on a promising note with Chukwueze close to finding the back of the net. Four minutes later, Mounie got two chances within a minute to put Michel Dussuyer’s side ahead but goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was in control.
At the other end, Osimhen fired in a right-footed shot which hit the post but Sanusi could not find the target with the rebound.
Paul Onuachu’s late goal helped Nigeria’s Super Eagles end Benin’s Squirrel unbeaten home run since 2013.
Reaction keeps coming in following a 1-0 away defeat of the squirrel of Benin republic, in the ongoing AFCON 2021 qualifiers.
Paul Onuachu came off the bench to grab a last-gasp winner for Nigeria as the Eagles extend their lead atop Group L by four points.
