World Teachers’ Day: Kwara State Declares Holiday for Teachers

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has declared Monday, October 7, 2024, as a public holiday for teachers in the state to celebrate World Teachers’ Day (WTD). The gesture aims to honour and recognise the dedication and contributions of educators across the state.

The Governor again commended the teachers for what they do to advance human progress through quality teaching and nurturing of minds.

This is contained in a statement by the state commissioner for education and human capital development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu.

According to her, the Governor has also directed that this holiday be enjoyed by teachers in the public and private sectors as a mark of appreciation for what they do and therefore wished them a blessed holiday.
