The Governorship Candidate of Young Progressive Party, YPP in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Dr Sunday Opoke has pledged to transform the State if he eventually emerges winner in forthcoming 2023 General Election.
Opoke added that he would transform the State to a standard of the western world as provision of social amenities will be sacrosanct and every religious leader in the State will have a befitting accommodation.
The Governorship Candidate made this promises before the alter of God during the 2022 Diocesan Christian Men’s Fellowship Conference at Saint Mark’s Anglican Church in Abakaliki the Ebonyi State capital.
Opoke asserted that “as a man who has travel to 11 foreign countries of the world, I know what is obtainable in those places and am going to replicate it here in our State.
“I don’t need to tell you that I will provide water, good road network, electricity, Healthcare delivery, Education and so on because it will be there as basic needs of every man.”
He added that “in our Government, only the weak can go to find jobs in Government as there will be enabling environment for revolutional economic transformation for the youths, women and elderly ones.
“We are going to bring power back to People who fear God. Therefore, bringing smiles to the faces of Ebonyi People that is why my billboard reads ‘Ebonyi Rejoice’ because the years of poor leadership will soon be over not only in Ebonyi State but all over the country,” he informed.
