Zambia and Comoros played out a hard-fought 0–0 draw on Friday at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca in their second Group A match of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.

The result moves Zambia to two points, keeping their qualification hopes firmly alive heading into the final round of group games. Comoros, meanwhile, picked up their first point of the tournament, ensuring their chances of reaching the knockout stage remain intact.

Early exchanges were cautious, with a strong midfield battle setting the tone. Comoros thought they had taken the lead in the 19th minute when Mzean Maoulida found the net, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review revealed a foul in the build-up.

Comoros continued to press in the first half but were denied by a well-organised Zambian defence. The second half followed a similar pattern, with Comoros enjoying spells of possession without converting their dominance into goals.

The match ended goalless, leaving Comoros frustrated after coming closest to scoring, undone by hurried finishing and missed opportunities. Both teams will now turn their attention to the final group fixtures, with Comoros facing Mali and Zambia set to meet hosts Morocco.
