2023: APC to prioritise security – National Vice Chairman

The issue of insecurity in Nigeria will be the top agenda for the country’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2023 General Election.

The APC National Vice Chairman, North-West, Mr. Salihu Lukman stated this when he visited Sokoto State, North-West Nigeria on a fact finding tour.

During the tour, Mr. Lukman met with the APC leader in Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko and other party stakeholders in the State.

In a press statement by APC’s North-West Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mada, among the issues discussed at the meeting was the matter of rising insecurity in Nigeria especially in states of the North-West; Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna and Kebbi State.

The interactive tour which gives preference to details on how to sustain the tempo where the party is doing excellently well, and to improve on areas that the party has built something to stand upon and re-strategize for few gray areas to be addressed.

“Prominent among matters discussed upon at the meeting was security challenge bedevilling the Zone and the entirety of North, particularly Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna and of course Kebbi State among other States of the Country.

The Zonal Vice Chairman Malam Salihu Lukman promised as an agent of the people as well as that of the party will alongside party’s elders such as Senator Aliyu Wamakko take the matter to appropriate authority with all sense of commitments. Lukman added that security issue will be the front banner of the party’s agenda for 2023 and beyond” Mada said.
