Adamawa State Chief Justice appoints magistrates, registrars

The Chief Judge of Adamawa State, Justice Nathan Musa, has appointed 39, Magistrates and 180 registrars as members of various courts.

Justice Musa disclose this at the valedictory session for his retirement in Yola, the Adamawa State Capital.

He said this were part of achievements both as acting Chief Judge and Chief Judge between 2013 and 2022.

He said during the period, he had successfully brought on board four High court judges, two Customary Court of Appeal Judges and two Kadis.

Others include repealed and replaced the old High Court Civil Procedure Rules of 1977 with Civil Procedure Rules, 2018.

He has also establishments 12 additional Area and Upper Area  Courts, High court Mubi Ii as well as purchased if officials vehicles.

According to him, all were done from monthly running cost as there was no special allocation made to the judiciary.

He appreciated Governor Amadu Fintiri for the appointment and support in the discharge of his duties that lead for all the reforms taking place in the judiciary.

He also appreciated the support and cooperation rendered to him management staff and all stakeholders.

Governor Fintiri on his part lauded Justice Musa, the outgoing Chief Judge on reforming justice sector for ensuring justice to people in the state.

He described him as the greatest Chief Judge who always respect other people view

“As the Chief Judge, he has initiated far reaching reform with impressive impact on the state judiciary, the governor said.
