The Nigeria Police Force has concluded investigations into a high-profile case of corporate fraud involving three Ghanaian nationals—Samuel Esson Jonah, Kojo Mensah Ansah, and Victor Quainoo—and their Nigerian accomplice, Abu Arome.
This was disclosed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Muyiwa Adejobi, during a press briefing in Abuja.

He revealed that the suspects are accused of orchestrating a sophisticated conspiracy to fraudulently assume control of Jonah Capital Nigeria Limited and its interests in Houses for Africa Nigeria Limited and River Park Estate.
According to Adejobi, investigations uncovered that the accused illicitly increased the company’s share capital and fraudulently allocated 99 million shares to themselves using forged documents and falsified signatures. They also allegedly misrepresented themselves as Nigerian citizens before the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to facilitate their activities.

ACP Adejobi stressed that contrary to claims circulating in some media outlets, “the suspects have not been exonerated by any panel of the Nigeria Police Force.
“Despite multiple invitations, the suspects have reportedly refused to appear before investigators. Instead, they have allegedly launched smear campaigns against the Inspector-General of Police, the Nigeria Police Force, and the investigating officers, while also initiating what the Police described as baseless legal actions aimed at obstructing justice.”
The Ghanaian High Commission has been duly notified in accordance with diplomatic protocols, and the Nigeria Police Force will now proceed with the prosecution of the suspects for offences bordering on corporate fraud, forgery, criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and obstruction of justice.
Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to due process, transparency, and the protection of legitimate business interests.
ACP Adejobi added that “foreign investors are hereby encouraged to continually tap into the wide range of investment opportunities available in Nigeria, respect the rule of law, and promote diplomatic ties.”
He emphasised that the Nigeria Police Force has taken bold steps to ensure that all investments are safeguarded as part of the nation’s drive towards economic growth and recovery.
