Anambra Healthcare Agency Receives Digital Work Tools From Governor Soludo

The Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ASPHDA), has taken delivery of their digital work tools as provided by Governor Chukwuma Soludo from the ICT Agency.
This is a follow-up to the first 200 cutting-edge laptops and PCs distributed to MDAs in the state to facilitate the state’s transition to digital work procedures.

The PC distribution exercise is an integral part of Governor Soludo’s overall goal to transform Anambra into a smart and livable megacity.
Receiving the work tools from the MD/CEO of the ICT Agency, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, the Executive Secretary ASPHDA, Pharmacist Chisom Uchem commended Governor Soludo for providing the agency with digital equipment.
“Today, we are witnessing what I term disruptive innovation, an analog to digital transition that will allow us among other things, improve our data collection processes as well as see and monitor in real time, the activities of our field personnel.
“IT is the new solution for us in this Agency and we appreciate Mr. Solution himself, Gov. Charles Soludo, for providing this solution. Indeed, solution is here.
“With these digital work tools, work will go on seamlessly, we can share documents online without fear of document loss. We can achieve more even without being in the same space,” she said.
Pharmacist Uchem who further disclosed that the work tools include laptop computers and printers, appreciated the Governor for his thoughtfulness in providing the equipment as it will go a long way in making them more effective, efficient and productive.
She noted that the digital work tools will help in proper documentation and storage, accurate data collection, and will enhance accountability in the discharge of their duties at all times.
On the anticipated 2023 flood, Pharmacist Uchem explained that they have commenced what they call emergency preparedness whereby they send technicians to all their facilities to ensure that their Cold Chain equipment used in the storage of drugs are working perfectly incase of any eventuality.
According to Uchem, they have already moved their Mobile Clinic provided by the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF, to Mmiata Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area to ease medical services around the area and have also sent drugs to their various facilities.
Pharmacist Uchem revealed that they have been training and retraining their staff working in the various Primary Health Care facilities for efficiency and professionalism and reminded their workers of the imperatives of proper referrals in order to ensure that no life was lost under any circumstances.
On his part, the Head of Planning, Research and Statistics Department at the Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Mr. Casmir Mabia lauded Governor Soludo for the digital transformation.
“This provision will definitely make our jobs easier and increase our productivity. Our executive secretary on her part is one that abhors the analog, paper way of doing jobs. So with this innovation, we can communicate with her better and get jobs done even when she is out of office, thereby serving Ndi Anambra better,” he said.
Responding, the MD/CEO Anambra ICT Agency, reiterated the passion of Gov. Soludo to ensure that everything in Anambra has a touch of Technology which is further showcased in the strengthening of the Anambra work force with digital tools.
“Let me remind you that the ICT Agency, as the agency mandated to see to the implementation of everything technology and technology everywhere mantra of Mr. Governor, is always available to provide the necessary technical support to aid your on-boarding and transition process.
“All critical apps and software have been pre-installed in these work tools you are receiving today like other MDAs who have received theirs before you, one of which, is the Unified Messaging System which allows one to plan deliverables better, collaborate with team members, hold meetings, share correspondence virtually, and track progress as work advances.
“We are excited about this wave of digital revolution sweeping through the state work force owing to the visionary leadership of Mr. Governor and we cannot wait to what you will achieve with this transition,” he concluded.
