Anambra State Government Pays Tribute to Governor Soludo’s Father

The Anambra State Government has paid a glowing tribute to the late Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo (Ichie Akukananwa I), the father of State Governor Soludo, who died at the age of 92.
According to a statement released by Christian Aburime, the Press Secretary to the governor, Pa Soludo passed away peacefully on Monday, 6th November 2023.

“It is with heavy hearts but gratitude for a life well lived that the Anambra State Government announces the passing of Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo (Ichie Akukananwa I), the esteemed father of the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, at the age of 92 years. 
“Born on 11th November, 1931, Pa Soludo passed away peacefully on Monday, 6th November 2023. He is survived by 7 sons, 8 daughters-in-law, 22 grand-children and six great-grand children.
“The elderly Soludo was a pillar of strength, a caring father, a responsible community leader, and a peace-loving man who touched the lives of many in his lifetime.
“Pa Soludo’s legacy extends beyond the confines of his immediate family, as he was also the oldest member of the Boys Scout Movement in Nigeria at the time of his passing. 
“His commitment to nurturing the values of discipline, leadership, and community service served as an inspiration to countless individuals, both young and old, as can be seen in his governor son.
“His love, wisdom, and guidance will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him,” the statement read.

Governor Soludo noted that his late father lived a fulfilled life and died at the ripe age of 92.
The Anambra State Government, along with the Soludo family, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and condolences during this difficult time.
“May Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo’s soul rest in perfect peace. Amen!” it prayed.
