“APC presidential Ticket has proven Records” – Cross River State Governor
The Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade has described the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the ‘best choice’ for Nigeria, as the presidential candidate, Mr. Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, have proven excellent records.
Governor Ayade stated this at the Niger-Delta rally of the Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Team which held at the U.J Esuene Sports Stadium in Calabar, Cross River state.
While explaining that Mr. Tinubu is not perfect, Governor Ayade, however, added that the APC presidential candidate has the capacity to make Nigeria prosperous.
“Our support for Asiwaju Tinubu is not because he is perfect.
“Our support for Asiwaju is because of his proven excellent track record as a people person who can consolidate on the gains of the present, drive inclusive growth, and lead our country to become more prosperous.
“The Tinubu/Shettima ticket is the most experienced and the most progressive combination available on the ballot,” he said.
Speaking at the event, the wife of the Nigerian President and grand patron of the APC Women’s Campaign Team, Dr. Aisha Buhari, explained that the party stood for peace and progress and, therefore, urged the women to be fully committed to the campaign in order to deliver votes in the elections.
Dr. Aisha Buhari was represented by her daughter, Zahra Buhari Indimi.
The wife of the APC’s Presidential candidate, who is also chairman of the women’s team, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, pledged her commitment and that of her co-chairman, Hajiya Nana Shettima, to ensuring that women’s issues are prioritized, if their husbands are elected.
While extolling the qualities of women from the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria, Senator Tinubu appealed to the women in the region to support the APC in its quest to win the upcoming elections.
Dr. Linda Ayade, wife of the Governor of Cross River State, urged women and youths to vote APC at the polls, especially as the current administration has performed well.
On arrival in Calabar, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Obong of Calabar, His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V.
