The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu has ordered the immediate deployment of additional troops to Plateau State, North-central Nigeria, signalling an escalation in military response as authorities move to contain rising tensions and stabilise affected communities.
Shaibu approved the reinforcement under Operation ENDURING PEACE, directing that fresh forces be integrated into ongoing operations to strengthen control measures and prevent further deterioration of the security situation.
