President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Jos, the Plateau State capital, North Central Nigeria, to commiserate with the government and people of the state over the recent gun attacks that claimed the lives of innocent citizens.
The President, who touched down at about 04:59 p.m., was received by the State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, and other top government officials at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Hyeipang.
The President’s visit to Jos is a demonstration of the federal government’s solidarity with the people of Plateau State and a reaffirmation of its resolve to stand with communities affected by violence and tragedy.

President Tinubu had assured Nigerians that security agencies will bring the perpetrators of the killings in Plateau to justice as he condemned the brutal attack by gunmen in the Angwan Rukuba district of Jos, Plateau State.
The President described the attack as ‘barbaric and cowardly’.
President Tinubu further directed security agencies to intensify efforts to prevent further attacks. He stressed the need for a more proactive response through timely action on early warning intelligence.
The Nigerian leader on Wednesday afternoon hosted Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and, according to the governor, also approved additional firm measures to complement ongoing security efforts in Jos and prevent a recurrence of the recent deadly attack in Angwan Rukuba, Plateau State.
