Nigeria has recorded 269 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 158,506.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.
According to the tweet, the 269 new cases were from 19 states. Enugu state reported the highest number with 78 new cases, Bauchi was second with 37 while Plateau state was the lowest with 2 new cases.

The NCDC also tweeted that as of 7 March, 158,506 cases had been confirmed, 137,875 cases treated and discharged, while 1,969 deaths were recorded.
